Event Information

Jervis Reay Acoustic is a southeast based acoustic guitar duo combining the talents of Steve Jervis and Dave Reay. Their repertoire embraces Swing, gypsy jazz, Latin and Soul, appealing to a wide range of music lovers, as well as hard core jazz and acoustic guitar enthusiasts.
Steve Jervis's musical journey shows his dedication and versatility, with experience from
pop and rock outfits to large swing bands. His previous duo Acoustic Graffiti played
some prestigious gigs, including a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe, at Manchester,
Wigan, Southport and Cheltenham Jazz festivals, and a BBC Live Event. Following his
recent relocation from the Northwest to the Southeast, his new collaboration with Dave
Reay is a showcase for his performance and composition skills across a range of styles.
Dave Reay's playing career began with his jazz-inflected finger style song arrangements
in the duo Galliard. Praised by Rock ' n' Reel magazine for" virtuosity and versatility -
sheer damned class". They toured nationally and received airplay on BBC Radio 2. A
developing interest in improvisation led him to a study of first gypsy jazz, then American
bop and post-bop styles, all of which influences can be heard in his playing and writing.
He has played high- profile venues such as Soho Pizza Express and the Edinburgh
fringe, the Garden of England jazz festival and a host of clubs and festivals around London & South East.
